HOUSTON — One of the leading authorities throughout the COVID pandemic apparently has COVID himself.
Dr. Peter Hotez, a vaccine expert with Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital, tweeted this afternoon that he tested positive for COVID.
Hotez said he has mild symptoms, including fatigue, a headache and a sore throat. He is being treated with Paxlovid.
He added that he’s vaccinated and boosted. He also warned that transmission is up.
