When Jordan Anderson straps into his Famously Hot Columbia SC #66 Chevy Friday night at the Chicagoland Speedway, it will mark a special anniversary.

It was in 2015 at the Joliet, Illinois facility where the Famously Hot colors made their NASCAR debut with Anderson.

Since then, that paint scheme has become a familiar one as Anderson, who is running a full-time Camping World Truck Series schedule, has Columbia, SC onboard as his primary sponsor for most of the races. Anderson is currently 19th in the truck series standings entering this weekend which also finds Jordan running in the XFinity Series event at Chicagoland.

However, 2017 could be the year when Jordan's career hits another gear as he could make his debut in the Sprint Cup Series. Anderson says he has talked to a couple of teams about running a race or two in NASCAR's top series.

A lot has to happen for Jordan to make that jump but the fact that preliminary talks have started is a good sign that Anderson's name is starting to carry more and more weight in all three NASCAR garages.
