COLUMBIA, S.C. — Visiting family may be a good thing after all — it got this man a winning lottery ticket!
A Georgia man is $1 million richer after matching five white balls in the March 23 Powerball drawing. He bought the ticket while visiting some family in South Carolina, but he still hasn't told them.
“I might take them out to dinner,” he said about surprising his family.
From Georgia to South Carolina, now this winner is headed to the west coast!
“I’m buying a one-way ticket to Alaska and coming back when I get ready,” he said.
Two Notch Market received a $10,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.
