West Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A fatal wreck involving a motorcycle and a tractor trailer in Lexington County left one person dead Friday morning.
Troopers say the victim, identified as 26-year-old Wesley Grant Hutto, collided with a tractor trailer making a turn near the 3700 block of Charleston Highway around 6 a.m.
Hutto, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple traumatic injuries, according to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher.
Crews worked for hours to clear the scene, but traffic is now moving smoothly in that area.
The driver of the tractor trailer didn't suffer any injuries. An investigation is currently underway.
