AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. — A four-year-old twin is dead after a crash in Aiken County on Sunday.

Kylee Vinson of Graniteville was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash that happened around 12:30 p.m. Sunday on Highway 302 (Wagener Road), just east of Burkelo Road, according to Aiken County coroner Darryl Ables.

Officials say Vinson's mother, Dajah Anderson, was driving the vehicle, which was also occupied by Vinson's twin brother and Anderson's sister, all of whom were transferred to Augusta University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Anderson was traveling east on Highway 302 when she lost control of her vehicle and ran off the right side of the road before re-entering the road, crossing both lanes of traffic, running off the left side of the road and striking a tree, officials say.

Vinson was properly restrained in a child seat on the driver's side back seat, according to Ables. An autopsy is scheduled to take place in Newberry on Monday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
