ALLENDALE, S.C. — Five men are wounded after a shooting at a car wash in a small South Carolina town. 

Law enforcement says the shooting took place just at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Allendale Car Wash on Main Street. Allendale police said several people had been hit by gunfire, and some were taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle.

While securing the scene, Allendale police say they learned that five men were reportedly being treated for bullet wounds at an area hospital.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said their crime scene agents responded to the scene. An agency spokesman did not have any information on the severity of the injuries, although as of Sunday morning, there were no fatalities.

The Allendale Police Department has asked the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) to conduct an investigation concerning the shooting incident.
