Columbia, SC (WLTX) Most of The Midlands and all of The Upstate is under an Air Quality Warning Wednesday.

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control says the Air Quality Action Day is in effect from 10 am to 8 pm.

A Code Orange Air Quality Alert means that ground-level ozone concentrations within the region will likely exceed unhealthy standards for sensitive groups.

Active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor activities.
