Sumter County, SC (WLTX) - A drive-by shooting that struck a 7-year-old last month has resulted in three arrests.

The latest suspect in the case, 33-year-old Rodney Jermaine Burgess is charged with breach of trust, larceny for failure to return a rented object and obstruction of justice after an anonymous tip led to his arrest Thursday. Additional charges are pending.

Sumter County deputies say shots were fired into a home on the 5800 block of Broad Street on February 1, hitting a 7-year-old boy in the leg. No one else was injured, but two others bullet holes were found inside the home.

Rodney is the husband of another suspect in this case, 30-year-old Kimberly Denise Burgess, who turned herself into authorities Tuesday.
