Hopkins, SC (WLTX) - Two people died after what the Richland County Coroner is calling an "apparent assault" Wednesday night.
The incident occurred at 1300 Whispering Pines Road in Hopkins between 10:15-10:30 p.m.
Jasmine Richardson, 24, died at the scene from homicidal violence, according to Richland County Coroner Gary Watts. The second victim, 25-year-old Brennan M. Montgomery died at 12:14 a.m. Thursday morning at a local hospital. Montgomery reportedly died from gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Deputies say they got a call of a fight in progress at the location. When they arrived, they found the two people dead.
The incident is under investigation by the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
