Search for one missing SC teen ends as another begins

Deputies in one South Carolina county say they found a missing 13-year-old but said that a 15-year-old boy who ran from the area is now reported missing.

OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities in a South Carolina county that first alerted residents in two states of a missing teen said on Saturday that she has been found safe. But now they're searching for another.

The search was first initiated by the Oconee County, South Carolina Sheriff's Office when a 13-year-old girl left her home sometime between 10 p.m. May 4 and 7 a.m. on May 5.

That search came to an end when she was found in the area of Highway 11 and I-85 near Fair Play, South Carolina. Authorities said she was then taken to another location to be reunited with her legal guardian.

However, investigators are now looking for 15-year-old Bryson Joe Perry who ran from deputies at the time. Perry has since been listed as missing by the Westminster Police Department.

Anyone with information on her location is asked to contact the Oconee County, South Carolina Sheriff's Office at 864-638-4111 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
