SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. — A "particularly unnerving" case has ended with a 15-year sentence for a 66-year-old Spartanburg man.

In July of 2017, officials searched the home of Oscar Lindsay Brogdon where they uncovered hidden cameras in his bedroom and bathroom. Those cameras were used to secretly film children and adults as they undressed, according to a report.

Over 40,000 child pornography files were also found, with a majority of them altered to show the faces of children Brogdon knew, as well as his own face.

Several victims, dating back to 2003, spoke at Brogdon's sentence hearing Wednesday. They described how deeply his actions impacted their lives.

“All child pornography cases are abominable, but this case is particularly unnerving,” said Attorney General Alan Wilson.

Brogdon will serve 15 active years in prison after pleading guilty to nine counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of voyeurism. He will also be a registered sex offender upon his release.
