COLUMBIA, S.C. — A car crashed through the front of a Columbia Dollar Tree store Saturday, causing damage but no injuries.
The vehicle went through the store, located in the 2100 block of Rosewood Drive, around 11 a.m. Police say a young driver who has just gotten a driver's license thought the vehicle was in reverse, and started to accelerate. However, the vehicle was actually in drive, and the car went through the a section of the store front and into the business.
The impact knocked over shelves with food and other products, and collapsed a section of the bricks and windows.
No injuries were reported either to people inside the car or the store.
