Chapin High School Donates $111K To Special Needs Athletes

During the event the student government announced they are giving $111,000 for a project supporting special needs athletes.

Chapin, SC (WLTX) Chapin High School held their winter Giving Assembly this morning.

During the event the student government announced they are giving $111,000 for a project supporting special needs athletes.

The Screaming Eagles Special Needs Athletic team is a Chapin-based nonprofit that provides opportunities for special needs students to play baseball, soccer and other sports.

The team will use the donations to purchase a "Field of Dreams" for the athletes to compete and practice.

Chapin high's student body president says this would not have been possible without all the community support.
