Crash turned fatal after victim entrapped in car, troopers say

The driver of the Charger became entrapped in the car, and later died from his injuries. Both the passenger and driver of the SUV were treated for injuries at a local hospital.

Allendale County, SC (WLTX) - A two-vehicle crash left one person dead and two others injured Friday night.

Troopers say both vehicles were traveling in opposite directions down Augusta Highway near Furse Mill Road when the driver of a Dodge Charger veered off the road crashing into an SUV around 8:30 p.m. Friday.

The driver of the Charger became entrapped in the car, and died from his injuries. Both the passenger and driver of the SUV were treated for injuries at a local hospital.

All those involved were reportedly wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
