LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — Fuel spilled onto South Lake Drive, causing traffic delays and a cleanup effort in Lexington County Thursday afternoon.
Hazmat units, as well as law enforcement and EMS, responded to the 1000 block of South Lake Drive near Interstate 20 around noon. Crews worked to contain and prevent 75 gallons of diesel-fuel from running into storm runoffs.
All southbound lanes were closed due to the spill, but as of 1:15 p.m. Thursday, the roadway was completely open.
