Columbia, SC (WLTX) - You may be used to the perfect pairings of peanut butter and jelly and macaroni and cheese, but how about yoga and beer?

Every Sunday, Conquest Brewery in Columbia turns into a yoga studio, combining the healthy exercise with the not-so-healthy beer.

Jean Boiteau, the yoga instructor, says there's nothing wrong with cracking a cold one for added relaxation.

"When you do a brewery yoga class, you don't have to rush off to start your day," Boiteau said. "You don't have to go anywhere, do anything, or check items off of your list. You can go in, have a seat, have a beer - or not. You can just sit and be with your friends and relax after yoga class."

Attendees say the yoga helps, especially when faced with all of the bad news in the world today.

"Whenever you're in a yoga session, you don't have your cell phone, it's quiet, it's nice," said attendee Kaitlyn George.

"They focus so much on breathing and just letting your mind go to where it needs to go, I think that allows you to take a step back from all the bad things that may be going on in the world," said attendee Lizz Strager.

Conquest Brewery holds the yoga class every Sunday for ten dollars, and includes a free pint of beer right after.
