COLUMBIA, S.C. — Officials have identified a man and woman found dead in what has now been confirmed as a murder-suicide at a local apartment complex on Saturday afternoon.
Cynthia Chinyere Ohans, 26, of Columbia, died at the scene after being shot, according to Richland County coroner Gary Watts. An autopsy indicated that the cause of death was due to a gunshot wound to the upper body.
Jirmaine J. Mobley, 31, of Columbia, also died at the scene, according to Watts. An autopsy indicated that the cause of death was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Coroner Watts has ruled this incident a murder-suicide.
Police say the Ohans and Mobley were found dead inside Colony Apartments on Bailey Street.
