Columbia, SC (WLTX) - On Tuesday night, law enforcement agencies around the country will be celebrating "National Night Out."
Millions of people around the world come together on the first Tuesday in August to promote partnerships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve.
Since the campaign began in 1984, the goal has been to enhance the relationship between police and the public.
It's celebrated through block parties, parades, cookouts and other events.
