Once Paralyzed, Jack Enright Walks To Get Diploma

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A Chapin High School student-athlete who was paralyzed during a game last year was able to walk across the stage to get his diploma Wednesday.

In March of 2015, Jack Enright was hurt in a freak lacrosse accident. A collision on the field broke Enright's neck and damaged his spine, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. He was given a 10 percent chance to walk again.

Enright was determined to prove them wrong and endured months of painful therapy at the Shepard Center in Georgia.

But during graduation, all that effort paid off, as he was able to cross the stage--albeit slowly--without any assistance. He was greeted by thunderous applause from the crowd.

Enright was also named 'Best All Around' by his class. He will be attending Clemson University in the fall.
