South Carolina native Chris Underwood was crowned the winner of the 38th season of the show 'Survivor: Edge of Extinction' Wednesday night.

Underwood was the first player in the show's history to win the grand prize of one million dollars after being voted off previously in the season.

Chris is originally from Myrtle Beach, but currently lives in Greenville.

He hosted a finale watch party with family and friends in Surfside Beach Wednesday night.

In a post on his Facebook page last week, the 'Survivor' winner announced plans to move to Chicago with his wife.
