SC Police Seek Gunman in McDonald's Drive-Thru Window Robbery

Greenville, SC (Greenville News) - Greenville police are investigating an armed robbery at the drive-thru window of an Augusta Street McDonald's.

The robbery took place around 9:43 p.m. Thursday when a man wielding a handgun approached the first drive-thru window of a McDonald's at 2200 Augusta, according to an incident report from the Greenville Police Department.

A man wearing all black presented a handgun at the window and demanded money from an employee at the window before running away toward a wooded area behind the restaurant. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the report.

Forensics officers arrived to process the scene along with additional officers who searched for the suspect but did not find him.

The investigation is ongoing.
