Sumter County, SC (WLTX) - A man is in custody for an attempted murder involving a teenager, the second to turn himself in for the incident.

Sumter County deputies say 31-year-old Aqueme Demond Randolph fired a weapon into a group of people on the 1880 block of Riverbirch Drive on October 1. At least one of those shots hit an 18-year-old in the stomach, and the victim is still reportedly recovering from that injury.

More than a month after the shooting, on Saturday, Randolph surrendered to deputies without incident.

A witness, as well as codefendant 25-year-old Byron Deshawn Lyons, positively identified Randolph.

Lyons, who turned himself in back on October 4, is awaiting a bond hearing at Sumter County Detention Center. Randolph and Lyons are both charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Lyons also face two counts of criminal conspiracy.

More arrests are expected as the investigation continues, according to a report.
