LEXINGTON, S.C. — One person is dead after a crash outside the Red Bank community.
According to Lance Corporal Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened a little before 6 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Tidwell said a 2006 GMC was traveling east on Muddy Springs Road near Bledsoe Drive, about 4.5 miles outside Lexington, when it went off the right side, struck a ditch, and overturned.
The driver was dead on the scene according to officials.
The name of the driver has not yet been released by the Lexington County coroner's office
The accident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
