Fairfield County, SC (WLTX) - Five church burglaries prompted an investigation by the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office this past weekend.
Deputies say miscellaneous items, including electronics, were stolen from five churches in the Blair and Jenkinsville areas of Fairfield County.
On Wednesday, Fairfield County deputies issued arrested warrants 38-year-old Terrance Chisolm on multiple burglary counts.
Earlier this month, a similar investigation was conducted after three churches were robbed in Newberry County. Electronic equipment, food and some money were taken from Morris Chapel, Bethlehem Lutheran Church and St. James Ame Church.
Chisolm has also been charged in those cases due to physical evidence that lead deputies to believe the church burglaries in both counties were connected. The suspect is also allegedly involved in similar burglaries in Chester county, according to a report.
The Fairfield County Sheriff asks all citizens to be vigilant in reporting any suspicious activity around churches, such as vehicles present late at night or attempting to conceal themselves.
