Columbia, (WLTX) - Sanford Greene, known for breathing new life into super heroes for Marvel Comics, is designing his own with his creator owned series “Bitter Root” from Image Comics.
It follows the adventures of the Sangreye Family during the Harlem Renaissance as they fight supernatural forces using hate to destroy humanity. Joining Sanford in bringing this story to life are fellow South Carolinian Chuck Brown, along with and Sanford’s old writing partner David Walker.
The News19 Nerds got a chance to speak with Greene and Brown about the inspiration for the book and why they thought this story would resonate now.
