Richland County deputies say 19-year-old Javari Price was involved in the December 17 shooting that put two Richland County schools on lockout, which means everyone must stay in the building and no one can enter or leave.
Ridge View High School and Rice Creek Elementary School were placed on lockout, but the shooting did not put occur on school grounds.
One person was injured during the incident, and was transported to a local hospital.
He was booked at the Richland County Detention Center and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
