Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) - South Carolina Highway Patrol says three people are dead after a fatal crash on I-95 Monday morning near Holly Hill.
Troopers say it happened just before 1 am on Interstate 95 North near the 86 mile marker, which is where the highway crosses I-26.
Lance Corporal Judd Jones say a SUV was traveling north when it hit an animal in the roadway.
He says the car then ran off the left side of the road, into the median, before it struck a tree and caught fire. The driver and two passengers died in the crash.
Highway Patrol is investigating.
