LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — She changed her mind at a Lexington County gas station. Now a Midlands woman is changing her home.

A Midlands woman told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that she almost didn't buy the ticket when she was at Bob's Food & Fuel on Mineral Springs Road.

But she changed her mind on the $10 purchase and appears to be glad she did. The King's Ransom game ticket was a winner worth $300,000.

The winner told lottery officials she was surprised but already has her initial plans for the money underway, officials said. Part of the big win is being used for home renovations.

The store that sold the one-in-900,000 winning ticket is also benefiting from this Midlands woman's change of heart. Because she bought the ticket at Bob's Food & Fuel, the store is getting a $3,000 commission for selling it.
