Former USC player wins Super Bowl in stadium where he once worked concessions

Rashad Fenton played for the Gamecocks from 2015 to 2018. On Sunday, he won the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Former South Carolina Gamecock Rashad Fenton won a Super Bowl Sunday night, as his Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

As it turns out, Fenton had another strong connection to the stadium where he won the Super Bowl: he worked at the concession stand there as a teen.

Fenton was raised in Miami and tweeted that he worked at the stadium growing up. He joined the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019 after playing college football for the University of South Carolina from 2015 to 2018.

Kansas City Chiefs player Chris Lammons is also a former Gamecock, and the University of South Carolina congratulated both athletes online.

The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers 31-20.
