According to an online obituary, Reppart loved baseball, fishing and hunting and was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

"He was really a normal kind of outgoing, fun loving friend," says Rev. David Surrett, of Central United Methodist Church. "There have been many people, of course Newberry county isn't a huge place, but so many people have been affected by this no matter where you go."

Surrett will be performing Reppart's funeral service on Friday, January 31st at 4 p.m.

"I want everyone to remember that as much as our human heart is breaking, God's heart is as well," says Surrett. "And that God never wills or expects or desires anything like this to happen. There are accidents in life. Friday, will not attempt to explain why, because I don't think we will ever know why in this lifetime."

Reppart attended Mid-Carolina High School until October of 2019. The principal there spoke to News 19 off-camera, explaining that students held a prayer vigil on Monday morning and will be honoring Reppart's love of hunting by wearing camouflage on Friday.
