ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. — The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was killed late Sunday night after being struck by two vehicles in Orangeburg County.
Corporal Sonny Collins said the incident happened just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday night on US Highway 301 just south of Orangeburg.
Troopers said two vehicles were traveling northbound on US Highway 301 when they struck a pedestrian that ran into the roadway. The person died at the scene.
Cpl. Collins said neither driver was injured in the incident, nor will they be charged.
The Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
