"We need help." Search underway for missing Orangeburg County man

The family of an Orangeburg County man missing since the day after Thanksgiving is asking for help.

Orangeburg County, SC (WLTX) — Authorities and family are asking for the public's help to find an Orangeburg County man missing since the day after Thanksgiving.

Hiram "Sport" Johnson, 37, was last seen by family at his home in Branchville on Friday.

"He’d never go this long without talking to my mom or feeding and walking his two Pitt Bulls," says Johnson's sister, Breanna Sabb. "He’s a dog lover."

"Not really even knowing where to start," Sabb says the family has been searching the woods in Branchville for him, hoping to find something, "just doing what we can."

"Please. Somebody, anybody help us out," she says.

Johnson is described as a black male with a low, faded hair cut and a long scar on the back of his head with a tattoo below. He is said to stand 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weigh around 170 pounds.

Johnson was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers, officials say.

"My brother wasn’t perfect, but he was a sweetheart to everyone," Sabb says. "It’s been a hard, long five days for my family. We need help."
