An important week for Trae Hannibal is in the books

Hartsville product takes part in his first college workouts at USC and then goes home to pick up an important document

Hartsville's Trae Hannibal has begun the transition from high school basketball to college.

On Monday, Hannibal was on campus for his first workouts as a college freshman. The 6-2 point guard is part of Frank Martin's 2019 recruiting class and he is ready to get coached up by the only coach to lead the USC men's program to the Final Four.

"He likes my energy and how I'm a downhill type of guy," Hannibal said.

"He likes that I'm electric and how I like to get my teammates involved more than anything. So, just going in and doing my part is what I'm excited to do."

Trae was back at Hartsville High School Friday night along with the rest of the class of 2019. Trae walked across the stage at the arena where he received his high school diploma from school principal Corey Davis.
