The comeback continues for Clyde Trapp

Lower Richland graduate played in his fourth game of the season since coming back from a knee injury in the summer.

Clyde Trapp had no doubt he would be back in time to help his team.

The former News19 Player of the Week out of Lower Richland suffered a torn ACL last summer as the Tigers were practicing for the World University Games.

But through a rigorous rehabilitation schedule, Trapp was able to work his way back on the court.

Saturday's game with N.C. State was his fourth contest of the season. In an overtime loss to Miami, Trapp had a season high 13 points. In the win over the Wolfpack, he had just one point, but he had three assists and five rebounds and ran the offense as Clemson picked up its first league win of the season.

Head coach Brad Brownell says Trapp is still not where he would have been prior to the injury and that it may take some time before he is back to that pre-injury level of play. But Trapp's experience in the program is sorely needed for a team that has a number of newcomers - either freshmen or grad transfers.

Brownell says Trapp does "a lot of the little things that we just like done" and that knowledge of what the coaches expect is a big reason why he is in the starting lineup.
