Burke Cromer shot a 1-under 71 to win the Midlands Chevy Dealers City Golf Tournament at The Spur at Northwoods.
The assistant pro at the host course, Cromer (+1) won by two shots over Rohan Alwood in the professional division. Alwood, the head professional at the Mid Carolina Club in Prosperity, was the defending champion of the event and shot a 71 in his second round to finish +3 for the tournament. Tony Branham, the head pro at the Woodlands Country Club, finished third at +8.
The tournament will conclude Saturday with the amateurs playing their third and final round. Jarrett Grimes and Robert Dargan finished round two tied for the lead at minus-1.
