Dawn Staley is bringing the 2018 USA basketball back to Columbia.
The head coach of the USA Basketball Women's National Team will begin preparations for the FIBA World Cup with a camp and exhibition game at the Colonial Life Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 5 a 7:00 p.m.
Selected available members of the 2017-20 USA National Team pool, which includes former Gamecocks A;ja Wilson, Allisha Gray and Tiffany Mitchell, will open training camp Sept. 3 USC. It will mark the second training camp held in Columbia since Staley was named the U.S. National Team head coach.
The FIBA World Cup is set for Sept. 22-30 in Tenerife, Canary Islands.
