Dennis Daley started his collegiate career at Georgia Military College. But the Ridge View product finished up at USC and now his professional career has taken him up the road on I-77 to Charlotte.

The Panthers made him a sixth-round draft pick and helping Daley transition to the hyper-competitive world of the NFL is former Gamecock Travelle Wharton who was a mainstay on the Carolina Panther offensive line for nearly 10 years.

He is now working as an offensive line assistant and Daley has been like a sponge trying to learn all he can from someone who has been through the grind.

"He's been real helpful. He's been talking to me about plays and stuff, trying to talk to me about technique and teach me all types of stuff," Daley said.

"He pulls me to the side and talks to me about the last play I ran. So, he's really helpful and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with him."

Daley says he and Wharton will get together soon as the two former Gamecocks try to get Daley up to speed as fast as possible.
