Rakym Felder has found his next destination.

The former USC point guard will be at New Mexico Junior College as a redshirt sophomore.

In April, USC head basketball coach Frank Martin announced that Felder would not be returning to the team after he failed to meet certain expectations Martin had laid out in the wake of Felder's arrest and subsequent suspension. He had enrolled at USC in the spring and was allowed to practice with the team and sit on the bench during games, but not play.

Felder averaged 5.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game as a freshman in the 2016-2017 season. Although he was a backup point guard, Felder provided some pop off the bench, including a 15-point performance in Greenville as the Gamecocks upset of the No. 2 seed Duke Blue Devils. in the NCAA Tournament.
