Will Richardson didn't waste any time getting to know the Richland Northeast community.

One day after being officially hired as the school's new head football coach, Richardson was at the school meeting the players and the parents as he laid out his vision for Cavalier football.

A former Shrine Bowl quarterback at Sumter, Richardson played at Coastal Carolina with current Ridge View head coach Perry Parks.

After graduating from CCU, Richardson began his coaching career in the Atlanta area. His 10-year coaching career includes eight years as an offensive coordinator. After taking part in several head coaching interviews in recent years, Richardson's first head coaching job has brought him back to the Midlands.
