USC is not in the top 25 now, but a win over Georgia in week two would certainly shoot the Gamecocks up the rankings.
The Associated Press Top 25 poll was released Monday and just like the Amway USA Today Coaches Poll, Carolina leads the "also receiving votes' category.
If the top 25 were to be extended to the top 30, USC would be 26th, just ahead of Florida. Week two opponent Georgia is ranked third in the AP Top 25 poll, compared to fourth in the Coaches Poll.
USC is coming off a 9-4 season which was capped off by a win over Michigan in the Outback Bowl. The Wolverines are ranked 14th in both polls.
