South Carolina will hire longtime SEC defensive line coach Tracy Rocker to the football staff, according to GamecockCentral.com

Rocker comes to Columbia from Knoxville where he was the defensive line coach at Tennessee for the past two seasons.

The former Auburn standout has worked at five different SEC programs - Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Georgia, and Tennessee. He was also in the NFL for three years as the defensive line coach for the Tennessee Titans.\

As a player, Rocker was a two-time All American at Auburn and in 1988 he won the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Trophy and was named SEC Player of the Year.

Rocker replaces John Scott Jr., who was hired over the weekend by Penn State.
