He may not have had the headlines of Burch or Boogie but Hammond senior Saul Diaz had enough of a resume to generate some interest and on Wednesday, he signed with The Citadel.

A 6-3 linebacker who will play defensive end in college, Diaz also played tight end for the Skyhawks and he was part of that trio of state championships won by Hammond.

Saul says he is excited about the schedule that is coming up. Not only the Southern Conference schedule, but Diaz has taken note that The Citadel will be at Clemson in November.
