Vyncint Smith's path to the NFL was anything but routine.
A graduate of Westwood High School, Smith starred at Limestone University where even at the Division II ranks, he was on the radar of several NFL teams.
After a solid performance at an NFL Pro Day at South Carolina, Smith's stock would increase and he would eventually sign as a free agent with the Houston Texans. His rookie season of 2018 saw him catch his first NFL touchdown and he heads into 2019 as the fourth receiver in the Houston offense.
Smith was at Ridge View High School Saturday where he hosted his inaugural youth football camp.
A short drive away at Blythewood High School, former Bengal and Presbyterian College defensive back Justin Bethel was hosting his 7 on 7 competition. Bethel was a sixth round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2012. After six seasons in the desert, the Blythewood graduate was in Atlanta for the 2018 season before signing with the Baltimore Ravens in the offseason.
