Kelly Bryant is no longer an unknown to those outside the Clemson program. In 2017, he was a semi-finalist for the Davey O'Brien Award and he is back on the watch list for the award.
Last season, Bryant completed 262-of-398 passes for 2,802 yards and 13 passing touchdowns in addition to rushing for 665 yards on a team-high 192 carries with 11 rushing touchdowns. He helped lead the Tigers to a 12-2 record and a third straight appearance in the College Football Playoff.
Sixteen semifinalists for the award will be named on Tuesday, Nov. 6, and three finalists will be announced on Monday, Nov. 19. The 2018 Davey O’Brien Award winner will be presented on Thursday, Dec. 6.
Bryant is also on the watch list for the Maxwell Award.
