NAPLES, Italy — Brad Brownell and his Clemson Tigers, representing Team USA, took on Israel in the semifinals of the World University Games on Tuesday morning and they came away for a 75-73 victory.

Clemson's Aamir Simms was the go to go guy against Israel. He broke the tie in the fourth quarter with a three ball and then hit a fadeaway to beat the shot clock to give Team USA a 69-62 read. He led all players with a game high 27 points and 16 rebounds.

Team USA trailed by as much 14 in this game but they came all the way back to hold and win a close game in the quarterfinals 75-73 over Israel. It's their second straight win decided by two points or less.

Clemson will play for the gold medal this Thursday against Ukraine. You can watch the game on the FISU TV website.
