COLUMBIA, S.C. — She won the WNBA Western Conference player of the week award for the second week in a row on Monday. Now South Carolina Gamecocks basketball legend A'ja Wilson is now going to be a part of the newest version of the NBA 2K video game series.

A first-look teaser trailer for the game, officially title NBA 2k20, was released online Monday morning. It features a brief sampling of some of the gameplay fans can expect. The montage features character simulations of some of the biggest names in the NBA, including Lebron James, Anthony Davis, and Kawhi Leonard.

At one point, the video pops up the words "next generation" and appears to show the back of Zion Williamson's jersey, the top selection in last month's NBA Draft. But then, it dissolves into three separate shots of Wilson in her Las Vegas Aces jersey. In one of the shots, she's raising a finger in the air with the words "welcome to the next level" on the screen.

The game releases on September 6th.

It's been reported for several months that this year's version of the popular game would likely feature WNBA players, and it's no surprise they'd pick Wilson. Wilson was the number one pick in last year's WNBA draft, and is the reigning WNBA rookie of the year.

It's not clear from the video exactly how the players will feature into the game.

Wilson herself didn't give a comment on social media about the appearance, but retweeted several accounts that did.

Wilson, who grew up in Columbia, starred as Heathwood Hall school and was the number one high school prospect in America before signing with the Gamecocks. In her four years under Coach Dawn Staley, the team won four SEC titles and the school's first-ever National Championship in 2017. Wilson was a three time all-American, and in her senior year, was the consensus national player of the year.
