LEXINGTON, SC — Saturday afternoon Lexington sharp shooter Olivia Thompson commits to Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks.
The rising senior will be in the 2023 class for USC and received a preferred walk-on sport with the team.
The Lexington guard is regarded as one of the best scorers in the state. This past season she became Lexington's all-time leading scorer after averaging almost 22 points per game and drained 105 threes. She was named to the USA Today All-USA South Carolina second team.
So Dawn not only lands an in-state talent but a local star out of Lexington.
