COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Panthers picked up another Columbia native in offensive lineman Dennis Daley. Dennis was picked in the 6th round going 212th overall. He was projected to get in rounds 4-6.

Dennis played at Ridge View High School and transferred to South Carolina after playing two seasons at Georgia Military College.

The Panthers traded their 187 pick to Denver to get Dennis at 212 and they also received a 7th round pick.

The 6"5", 317 pound offensive lineman started 23 games at left tackle at Carolina.

Dennis and Spring Valley product Christian Miller of Alabama will get their chance to play pro bowl right up I-77.

The second Gamecock to get drafted on the final day of the NFL draft is defensive back Rashad Fenton. Rashad was a sixth round draft choice of the Kansas City Chiefs going 201st overall.

Rashad got the nickname Fenton Island after a great 2017 season. He led USC with three interceptions last year and was considered their best cover corner. He also played nickel and safety.

In four years the Miami native played in 48 games and made 30 starts in the garnet and black.

Newberry product Ron Parker played for the Chiefs last season.
