PULLMAN, Wash. — The USC men's golf team came all the way back in the Washington State Regional of the NCAA men's golf tournament on Wednesday.

The Gamecocks were 7 strokes back at one point in the third round. But they were able to force a playoff and advance on on shot putt for par Scott Stevens and Will Miles.

USC clinched the final spot in the top five of the Pullman, Wa Regional and Carolina punches their ticket to the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2016. 

The NCAA men's golf championships are next week in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
