COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Phil Steele publication believes USC has a number of impact players for this upcoming season.

The national publication released their All-SEC preseason picks and 8 Gamecocks made the list.

Rising senior Javon Kinlaw led USC as the only first-team All-SEC selection. The Charleston native was also a third-team All-American pick for Phil Steele. He had a career high 4.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss in 12 games last year on the defensive line.

Dj Wonnum, TJ Brunson and Bryan Edwards were second team picks.

Wonnum is looking to lead the defensive line again and play a full year. He suffered an ankle injury that sidelined for half of the year. He was an All-SEC player at the end of the 2017 season when he led the Gamecocks in sacks.

Richland Northeast product TJ Brunson should be back to full form this year at the linebacker position after suffering a sports hernia and knee injury late in the year.

USC receiver Bryan Edwards will be the top receiving option for Jake Bentley as he returns for his senior season.

AC Flora's Joe Charlton (Punter), Jaycee Horn (DB), Donnell Stanley(OL) and Shi Smith (WR) were fourth team All-SEC picks as well.
